Groundbreaking Ceremony of China Garden of 2012 Horticulture Expo held

    The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of China Garden for the Floriade Horticulture Exposition was held at Venlo, Holland on November 11, 2012. Paul Beck, The President of the Floriade Committee, Sjaak Langeslag, Secretary of AIPH, Zhang Jinxiong, Political Counselor of China Embassy in Holland, Zhang Yinchao, Deputy Secretary of China Flower Association, Hubert Bruls, Mayor of Venray, Dai Jun, representative of NITA Design Group, China Headquarters & the designing and general consultant office of China Garden attended the ceremony.

    The theme of Floriade 2012 is "Be part of the theatre in nature; get closer to the quality of life". China Forestry Ministry participated in the exposition authorized by China State Council. China Flower Association stands in as the Chinese representative and Dutch NITA Design Group appointed as the landscape designer and general consultant office for The China Garden. Suzhou Polytechnic Institute of Agriculture designed and will build the traditional style architecture for the garden. China is making its debut appearance in this outdoor exhibit at international horticulture exposition.
     
    The representatives of NITA and the press from Global Times, Xinhua Daily, and other medias from Netherlands witnessed the event. In the indoor Preview Center, Secretary Zhang Yinchao introduced China Garden to the guests and Mr. Dai Jun gave a brief report of the design ideas. Then the guests moved to site of the groundbreaking of China Garden. Paul Beck, The President of the Floriade Committee, Sjaak Langeslag, Secretary of AIPH, Hubert Bruls, Mayor of Venray, Zhang Jinxiong, Political Counselor of China Embassy in Holland addressed to the guests and cut the ribbons. Paul Beck, Zhang Yinchao and Dai Jun unveiled the foundation stone.
     
    The guests returned to the Preview Center for celebration after the event. Dai Jun of NITA Design Group suggested a toast to the success of China Garden, also to The Singles Day. Paul Beck complimented that China Garden will be a combination of Chinese traditional gardens and modern flower technology.
